With over 35 years of experience in horticulture, design, and construction, our team has been transforming properties in Greenwich and surrounding towns and creating havens for our clients to relax and entertain.

As a design-build firm comprised of landscape architects, horticulturalists, construction professionals, pool specialists, designers and lifelong gardeners, we are there every step of the way from conception, to design, construction and installation. Serving the Local Community Since 1985

Gro Pro was started in 1985 by Peter Grunow, who was taught to garden by his late mother, Betty Grunow, who was a graduate of the New York Botanical Garden.

After getting a degree in business, Peter then took classes and graduated from the New York Botanical Garden. He had worked several jobs in horticulture before starting Gro Pro in 1985.

Since it’s inception, Gro Pro has always aimed in enhancing the homes of the residents of Greenwich, CT and its surrounding areas. Peter, having grown up in Old Greenwich, always found pleasure in working in his local community.

Gro Pro has also been incredibly lucky to work for the Town of Greenwich on several projects, most notable being Tod’s Point and Binney Park which you can see below.

Peter has been helped along the way by his two right-hand men: Tom Homicki (Landscape Architect) and Ed Fitzwilliam (Construction & Maintenance Professional) who have both worked with him for over 30 years.

Peter now works with his son, Will, who is currently working in design and is aiming to also graduate from the New York Botanical Garden.
